Paden City Public Library was established in August of 1946, housed first in a portion of the old Land Company Building on Main Street. In 1950 the library moved to its current address into a building that had previously been the Tyler County Grade School. That building was used until the current building was constructed in 1974/75. Throughout the years there have been several upgrades to our building as well as changes in the role our library serves. We aren’t “just books” anymore! We strive to be the hub of the community – where folks of all ages, races, and creeds can feel safe to come learn, have fun, and engaged with our community!
